Daisy Edgar-Jones Praises Co-Stars Glen Powell, Paul Mescal, and Sebastian Stan for Their Support: ‘That’s Why They’re So Successful’

Daisy Edgar-Jones has shared that her male co-stars Glen Powell, Paul Mescal, and Sebastian Stan were never upset about her being top-billed over them. She credited their success to their supportive and professional attitudes, saying, “That’s why they’re so successful.”

In an interview with Elle Magazine, Daisy Edgar-Jones shared how fortunate she feels that her A-list male co-stars have never had an issue with her being the lead in their projects. She first gained widespread attention alongside Paul Mescal in Normal People before working with Sebastian Stan (Fresh), Harris Dickinson (Where the Crawdads Sing), Glen Powell (Twisters), Andrew Garfield (Under the Banner of Heaven), and Jacob Elordi (On Swift Horses). Edgar-Jones humorously mentioned that she’s “worked with all of the internet’s boyfriends,” joking that the only ones left are “Timothée Chalamet and Austin Butler.”

Reflecting more seriously, she said, “I’m lucky that every actor I’ve worked with has been incredibly supportive of me being the lead. Glen, Sebastian, Paul, all of them. I think that’s why they’re so successful and so loved: they are so generous, and they really serve the story, not themselves. Glen was always like, ‘What’s Kate’s journey in this? Let’s find it.’ Same with Sebastian—he was fully invested in Noa’s journey. Paul is like playing tennis with your best friend.” She added, “I’m nervous for the point when I work with someone who might not be so chill about it. There’s a lot of ego in this industry.”
